:  a genus of nematode worms of the family Strongylidae including one (C. ovina) that infests the colon especially of sheep and causes a bloody diarrhea

Biographical Note for CHABERTIA

Cha·bert \shȧ-ber\ , Philibert (1737–1814), French veterinarian. Chabert is remembered for his classic descriptions of glanders in 1779 and anthrax in 1780.
