Biographical Note for LAMBLIA

Lambl \ˈläm-bəl\ , Wilhelm Dusan (1824–1895), Austrian physician. Lambl was the first to describe the causative agent (Giardia lamblia) of giardiasis in humans. The description was included in a collection of medical reports published in 1860 by the hospital where he was in residence.
