:  either of the two small branches of the ulnar artery arising from its medial side: a :  one that arises just below the elbow and supplies the brachialis muscle and the pronator teres—called also anterior ulnar recurrent artery b :  one that is larger, arises lower on the arm, and supplies the elbow and associated muscles—called also posterior ulnar recurrent artery
