Using My Account
My Account your personal account manager is located on our secure server. For your security, My Account does not save cookies, so you must log in each time you want to access your account. (As you move between options, you stay logged in through a temporary session cookie.)
Account Status

Once you have successfully logged in, you will arrive at the Account Status page, where you can learn about and
control the status of your account.
For active and free-trial accounts, you have two cancel options. Choose "Automatically Cancel" to retain full access until your expiration date without worrying about an automatic renewal or activation. Choose "Immediately Cancel" to immediately discontinue access and cancel your account.
Under "Change Account Status or Type," two management options are offered depending on the status of your account.
If you have chosen to automatically cancel a free trial, the "Activate" option gives you the chance to change your mind.
If you have chosen to automatically cancel an active subscription, the "Renew" option gives you the chance to change your mind.
If your subscription has been cancelled or suspended, an option to "Reactivate" will be offered. If you reactivate a subscription or free trial that was cancelled in error and it has not expired, it will be automatically reactivated. If there is a fee involved, selecting this option will ask for payment information if none is on file.
Payment Information
Select this option to
update your credit card information. My Account is on our secure server and entering your card number is as secure as on our subscription pages.
For your security, you will not be able to view your full card number you can only replace it.
Special note:
If the red amount at the bottom of the form is more than zero, your card number will be immediately processed for the amount due; otherwise, it will not be charged until your renewal or activation date.
Contact Information
Use this option to update or correct your name and address.
This is also where you express your e-mail preferences. Please note that unchecking these options will not stop important e-mail concerning your account from being sent.
Username/Password
Select this option to change your log in information. You can change your user name and
e-mail address and your
password together or individually.
Please note that changes made here also affect your log in information and will take up to two minutes to reach our servers. For your protection, confirmation e-mails will be sent to both addresses whenever you change your user name.
Log Out
This function will do the same thing as closing your browser. It will delete the session cookie used to allow you to move from page to page in your secure My Account session. Using this function will not log you out of or remove any Merriam-WebsterCollegiate.com access cookies.
